I apologize for my lack of updates since May. I had been incredibly busy building my YouTube this summer, and most of my art productivity from June to September was dedicated to the three videos I put out during those months. I did still squeeze some in some art in my free time, however. But before I get to those, I feel I should cross-promote my YouTube account. Both because they too represent my work (in fact, nowadays, the majority of it), and also so any potential clients who want to hire me as a video editor can be confident they’re getting quality work out of me.
And yes, the thumbnails for the videos are my own creation, too.
Mega Man’s Gloriously Stupid Furry Episode – An Analysis of ‘Curse of the Lion Men’
As a fan of the classic Mega Man video game series, I’m of course familiar with the cartoon the creators of Scooby-Doo made out of it in the mid-1990s. Its most infamous episode is ‘Curse of the Lion Men’, a concoction of a nonsensical story and cheap animation, that together results in a major source of ridicule from the franchise’s fanbase, and one of my personal favorite so-bad-it’s-good pieces of media.
This is my most popular video on YouTube as of this blog post, as well as the one I’m most proud of.
The Top 10 Best Simpsons Memes
High Seas Havoc is a Phoque-ing Blatant Sonic Knockoff
This is the first entry in a series called ‘Arcade-ological Discoveries’, where I talk about retro games that aren’t as talked about as their more popular contemporaries. I chose High Seas Havoc to kick off the series, as I thought its status as a Sonic clone and its bizarre connection to the bootleg video game development scene, made it a worthy candidate for discussion.
Now with those out of the way, here’s the artwork I managed to squeeze in during the months I was working on these videos.
The Oddball Tetrad – Magical Girl Forms
Gilda Grime (Verde Ghiacciata)

Margo Hynde (Blu Affamata)

Wendy Wyler (Viola Elettrica)

April Lowry (Turchese Rovente)

These artworks are an expansion on the idea of the Tetrad performing together as a 1960s-style girl group, with their stage selves imagined as magical girl-type superheroes, like from Sailor Moon or Miraculous Ladybug. In-universe, it’s Gilda who imagines them this way, hence the Itacavallian/Italian names. She often writes stories and draws comics of them as these alter-egos, initially with herself/Verde Ghiaccata as the lone hero, and later with her leading the rest of the magical girl Tetrad after meeting them.
And yes, Margo/Blu Affamata’s power is sandwich ingredient summoning. Margo may be Gilda’s friend, but she’s also rich. And someone who’s wealthy and has a non-joke superpower, well, that’s too broken.

A Visual Guide to the Pride Flag

Gladys Fioletowski – Lutrine Librarian

As it was Pride Month at the time I thought up this character, let me just say now that, yes, I did envision her as a transgender sow. Suck it, you Trump-loving snowflakes.
Vicky’s Realization

This artwork is featured in the closing credits of The Top 10 Best Simpsons Memes video, linked above.
Princess Daisy – Game Boy-Style Redraw

I can’t stress enough how big a fan I am of Daisy. She was my reason for being excited for Smash Ultimate and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, even more so than every character from the series being playable in the former and the Wonder effects of the latter. Any game Daisy is in, she is my main.
The Oddball Tetrad & Baseball Pentad – Low-Budget 1970s Style

I always wanted to draw another artwork in the style, but never got around to it until a year later, when I decided to draw another group of my characters, Wendy’s sister Nicole and her friend group, the ‘Baseball Pentad’. The Tetrad only required a 2.35:1 aspect ratio for the canvas, but the Pentad, due to depicting one character more, required a 3:1 canvas.
Both of these artworks are featured in the end credits of the High Seas Havoc review, linked above. As this is Margo’s in-universe art style, said video also features an animation of herself drawn this way.
And that’s all for now. Hopefully I can find time to make more artwork, and thus a post such as this one. Chapter V is almost complete at the time of me writing this blog post; it will be uploaded when finished, and to coincide with whatever video I complete around the same time. But until that time… take care, stay safe, be good to each other, keep AI out of the creative process, stand in solidarity with the animators and video game voice actors, and have a good one.
